Our scientific board

COOP has two objectives. On the one hand, it is a question of investigating in order to bring out a structured reading of the evolution of the working-class districts of the canal from their birth to the present day, and on the other hand, a work of dissemination to local and non-local audiences. The challenge is to propose a new history of Brussels in which these neighborhoods and their populations regain the determining place that is theirs.

We wish to carry out this process of research, documentation and investigation with the populations with a scientific requirement. The construction of the COOP museographic project has thus led to the creation of a knowledge committee composed of people specialized in the different themes.
